IN THE FAMILY
Alex has grown up around classic cars, surrounded by a family who have lived and breathed cars and motorsport for many decades. "I grew up surrounded by incredible cars", says Alex. "Noisy, shiny and exotic machines that bore no resemblance to the anonymous metal boxes that most people drove to work everyday, and I was captivated as a tiny lad. I was taught to appreciate the heritage, the build quality, the exquisite design features and the unique aroma of old wood, leather and Castrol R. And it isn't just my father who has collected, dealt and raced old machinery; many members of my extended family are well-known faces in the scene too, so I suppose it's fair to say that the direction of my life was pre-ordained from birth!".
Alex has worked for his family's highly-regarded business in the north of England as well as several years as a specialist with RM Sotheby's, one of the world's most successful auction houses specialising in high-end, collectable classics of all types. It's precisely for these reasons that Alex Classick Ltd can offer clients a remarkable level of service, with the business priding itself on knowledge, integrity and insight.
"Owning a classic car isn't difficult- it's simply a case of buying the right car. And, importantly, that doesn't have to mean an expensive car."
That lifetime of knowledge and experience had developed into a desire to offer a new type of business; one where offering fine automobiles sits hand in hand with an obligation to pass that knowledge onto enthusiasts. We pride ourselves on our open and friendly approach to doing business and we seek to form long-term relationships with all our clients; we have no interest in short term gain at the expense of sound advice. Our sole aim is that everyone choosing to do business with Alex Classick Ltd should have a great experience, and we work tirelessly to achieve that.
